The bridge course introduced the fundamentals of English literary studies to the first year graduate students.   

 

  Versatile Theatre of the Present: Trends and Possibilities  

The department conducted a seminar in relation to commemorating the poet O.N.V Kurup thematising the ecological concerns in his poem in particular and literature in general. the talk by Dr.Pradeep Kumar  enlightened our students about a sustainable life and the need to be harmonious with nature.  As part of International Women's Day celebration, a webinar on the importance of inclusions at higher education institutions was hosted with focus on gender and disability concerns.  

2.10.2020 - As part of Gandhi Jayanthi, the department hosted a webinar on the theme of Nationalism and Gandhian Ideology  

 

 "Dialogues" paid homage to Girish Karnad (1938-2019) with a commemoration by Dr. K Usha. A visual adaptation of Karnad's play Nagamandala was presented by our MA students. It was followed by an afternoon session of Merit Fest where the NET/SET winners of the department were felicitated.
