Girish Karnad, the Renaissance Man : e Requiem on 25.07.2019

 "Dialogues" paid homage to Girish Karnad (1938-2019) with a commemoration by Dr. K Usha. A visual adaptation of Karnad's play Nagamandala was presented by our MA students. It was followed by an afternoon session of Merit Fest where the NET/SET winners of the department were felicitated.

  Prisma - Forum de Cinema  of the Department of English aims to celebrate and explore the diverse shades of global culture through the art of film. By showcasing a wide array of cinematic voices and stories, the forum intends to build understanding, dialogue, and appreciation for the rich tapestry of human experience. Through screenings, discussions, and workshops, Prisma invites audience to engage with films that reflect the complexities of different cultures, encouraging a deeper connection with the world around us. Whether it's through thought-provoking documentaries, vibrant narratives, or experimental works, Prisma aspires to illuminate the shared humanity that cinema can reveal. "Dialogues" to Subdue the Lockdown through Art

"Dialogues", Literary Forum of the Department conducted an online essay writing competition as part of Reading Day. The primary intention being to engage the mind and thoughts of the students during the lockdown period, the topic "Reading, Writing and Learning - Post Covid Scenario" activated the students to think beyond the pandemic.
