With pride, the department congratulates Anirudhan, of 2nd year BA English, and Sariga, of 3rd year BA English, for bagging the Silver Medal (59 KG Senior Category), and Gold Medal (43 KG Junior Category) respectively.

The Department conducted an extension lecture on Gender Equality for the PG Students with Dr Vijesh, Assistant Professor of Political Science as the Resource Person. The talk designed as part of International Women's Day, had been postponed to 25th March 2025.  

The department organised a one-day national seminar on the new trends in Indian Cinema on 7.3.2025 at the College Seminar Hall. Three keynote sessions were complemented with parallel sessions of offline as well as online paper presentations.   

 

Dr. Arathy Asok, and Mr. Vaishnav Satheesh, faculties from Government college Chittur, and Organizers of the Rainbow Club, interacted with our students about gender identities beyond the binary dichotomy.
