Department of English

 

Dr. Arathy Asok, and Mr. Vaishnav Satheesh, faculties from Government college Chittur, and Organizers of the Rainbow Club, interacted with our students about gender identities beyond the binary dichotomy.    

 "Illuminazione", simply means illumination or enlightenment. It is a participative and experiential learning series organised by the department providing a platform for our Post Graduates to present their research area and discuss with their peers.  This academic year's illuminazione was conducted on 21st January.

The department pays homage to Sri M T Vasudevan Nair (1933-2024) - novelist, scenarist, director - doyen of Malayalam Literature.   

Congratulations Manu Mohan, our first year graduate student, for winning the title Mr. Palakkad, in the 70 kg category, Kappa Mr. Palakkad 2025, and silver medal for Mr Kerala.    

Prisma, forum de cinema of the department of English, commemorated Franz Kafka through the screening of "The Trial", movie adaptation of his popular novel of the same name. The screening, which was on 16/12/2024 at the college seminar hall, was followed by a brief discussion of Kafka, and his works by the Post Graduate and final year Under Graduate students.
